4 of us were on the blue ridge train. We got into town about 11am. We walked around a bit and went to one restaurant on the Toccoa River. We chose to dine outside, once seated, we all were shocked by the prices...$19 for a cheeseburger and it just went up $$ from there! So...we googled other places and made the short walk to Kenny's pizza and subs. Now, when we got there at about 11:55am, there was only 1 customer, sitting at the only booth. Very small, minimal seating. There was a pavillion across the street and we decided to stay put and order. The booth opened up and we sat down. Mind you...only 1 person working, 2 others called out. The young man working was the new owner. We ordered 4 meals. 1 sausage and pepper stromboli, 1 chicken parmigiana sub, 1 Turkey sub, a modified philly sub and garlic knots. They all came with home cut french fries. We All had our meals by 12:15!! And it was delicious! Homemade marinara with the knots and stromboli was authentic and fantastic! My chicken parmigiana was cooked with fresh, thick chicken tenders fried to perfection on a super soft sub roll with marinara and mozzarella cheese, it was huge, everything was! The stromboli was full of sausage, peppers and onions with plenty of mozzarella cheese. Our friends had the modified philly, and turkey cheese sub. Everything was fresh, huge and in soft sub rolls. We were All very pleased and each one of us came back with a half a sub and stromboli for dinner tonight! The fries were hot and good! They are cooked dark but definitely not burnt. I struck up a conversation with the new owner and praised him on a Very Clean kitchen area, his great cooking ability and being able to put out hot, fresh food at noon by himself! I then asked his age. He is only 36! He just bought the place a month ago. He has so much talent and seems to want to do alot cosmetically and I told him that will come with time. It is a small space but so close to the train depot that he should have great success there! He definitely needs a bigger sign and maybe someone to pass out flyers, also advertise! This little place was local, which we like anyway, and a real gem! I only wish I would have asked his name. I wish you much luck and success with your restaurant, Sir.

Stopped in town for the layover on the Hiwassee River Scenic Railroad Excursion. Grabbed a bite here and the food was excellent. We took ours to-go and sat across the street at a picnic table. One of the cooks ran across the street just to bring us some marinara sauce that was forgotten. Excellent service overall.

Dependably delicious pizza every time. Crust is perfect crisp and all ingredients are good quality. My wife and I love to get mushrooms, onions, and black olives (and sometimes add ground beef).
